We Need Volunteers!

We have a variety of volunteer positions available - Whether you have 2 hours a week to commit or 20, we have ways for you to become involved.

Many of our position are “Queue Based”, which means you pick up the “job” you want and ignore the ones you don’t! Both Transporter and Reference Checker positions are queue based, and you can dictate your own hours and schedules.

Volunteer Positions

  • Transporter

    • Transport cute pups to the vet, to new foster homes, and more. We have a transport chat, where you can pick up the jobs you want, and ignore the ones you don’t. Keep track of your mileage to get a nice tax deduction* or gas cards are available!

  • Reference Checkers

    • Being a reference checker, you are a vital piece of the process to screen our adopters! You can participate in this position from anywhere in the world with reliable phone service. We have a reference check group, where you can pick up the jobs you want, and ignore the ones you don’t. Must be comfortable talking on the phone, following instructions, and minor organizational skills.

  • Data Entry Team

    • Do you want to be able to volunteer anywhere, any hour? Do you want to be able to do a task while you’re watching a tv show from the comfort of your couch? Do you like entering in data and participating in a team? We need volunteers for our data entry team! You will work closely alongside the foster, adopter, and vet care teams closely, so a teamwork mindset is best.

  • Fundraising Coordinator

    • Are you the party planner of your friend group? Do you like herding cats? Want to make a huge pawsitive impact in your community? Consider joining us as a Fundraising Coordinator! Volunteer duties include event planning, corporate partnerships, fundraising brainstorming, and more! This position can be done remotely, with a preference for Salem residents.
