Mission:

We aim to make a positive impact to each and every dog that crosses our path.

Our mission is to provide a stepping stone to the most at-risk pups via a strong foster based network and training support to our fosters, adopters, and community. While we can’t adopt ourselves out of our current crisis, we can provide a pawsitive impact to those pups in our care and to bridge the training gap in our community.

We are a science based, force free rescue, founded by certified dog trainers, with a mission to educate our community on dog behavior and canine learning. We regularly team up with certified trainers and behaviorists, vets, and vet behaviorists to ensure every canine in our care is set up for success.

Our Team

Anna Berg
Co-Founder/Managing Director

Anna Berg is a commercial underwriter by day, and a professional dog trainer and rescuer by night. Her passion for dog training and rescue began with her own aggressive heeler nearly a decade ago. Since then, she has mentored under a certified behaviorist for over two years, attended the Victoria Stilwell Academy, and has accumulated more than 500 behavior modification hours through her years of dog training. Her passion/soft spots are herding breeds, the undersocialized, and momma dogs. Anna regularly engages in continuing education such as the Aggression in Dogs Conference, and more. Her passion also includes community education of dog behavior and “how to talk dog and meet their needs” and regularly provides free educational opportunities and mentorships.

Julia Blond
Co-Founder/Board Member

Julia Blond is a CPDT-KA certified trainer and Fear Free Certified Professional located in the Roseburg area. She is passionate about helping adopters and fosters gain the skills and knowledge necessary for them to thrive with their new companions. Julia is no stranger to the challenges that come with adopting a dog with quirks, fears and frustrating habits! You are not in it alone when you adopt with us. Julia is heavily involved in the adoption coordination process and fostering process, and you tend to see a bit of Julia everywhere. She is our Swiss army knife; vital to keeping our rescue in working order and always available for support.

Sherry Yates
Board Member/Data Specialist

Sherry started out as a foster fail for one of our very shy boys, Jack, and has since foster failed Harper and Mocha as well. Sherry has since fostered many of our shy pups, helping build their confidence and get them ready for their forever homes. She has volunteered countless hours with reference checks, transport, events, and donating a great deal to our organization.

Sherry is a part of our board of 2024, along with being our new Data Specialist, ensuring perfected record keeping, vet care management, and the all important data entry of our files. With her 36 years of experience with the Navy, we are beyond thrilled to have Sherry on the team.

Robin Schmidt
Supplies Coordinator/Events Coordinator

Robin started out as a foster for our rescue for a momma and her two week old pups over a year ago. Since then, she has fostered several litters of puppies and mommas, and currently has one of our sanctuary pups, Roo. Robin has foster failed twice with our rescue, Bandit, and Mara, and has been instrumental to our rescue and our “puppy whisperer”. Robin works by day as a case manager for veterans and by night, she is our events coordinator and supplies coordinator for our fosters.
